Disability Support Services

Empowering People: Creating a community where the person is visible and the disability is not

Empowering People was founded with the mission of empowering and supporting people with disabilities through dedicated support services in the Cincinnati, OH area. We believe that individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities should be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. We provide empowerment and support through various locations for disability service programs, including our Intermediate Care Facilities, Home and Community-Based Waiver Services, and Adult Day Programs and Vocational Services. We encourage new website visitors to read on to learn more about our ongoing disability support services:

Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs)

Our Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) at Empowering People provide people-centered services and 24/7 nursing support in a home-like environment. Residents are provided with respite care services, as well as assistance in gaining life skills in areas such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal hygiene. Licensed Nurses and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDP) empower and support each individual, encouraging active involvement in the Ohio communities in which we live and serve.

Home and Community Based Waiver Services (HCBS)

For some, the individual-centered approach is best achieved in the comfort of their own home. Our Home and Community-Based Waiver Services (HCBS) empower and support individuals in our communities by allowing them to maintain their surroundings, whether they live independently or with family, friends, or other individuals. Our goal is to enable them to maintain their daily routines with minimal disruption. Our HCBS services include transportation, cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, medication administration, and respite care services.
