Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are people who work directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to assist them in integrating within their communities and achieving their maximum independence. Their primary goal is to allow them to live their lives in the least restrictive environment possible. A Direct Support Professional is a hero who empowers and supports an individual with a disability so they may lead a self-directed life and contribute meaningfully to their community. They offer assistance with daily living activities as needed and encourage individual attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. A Direct Support Professional provides ongoing support to an individual at home, work, school, and church, as well as many other community places. A Direct Support Professional is also a passionate human advocate, helping people communicate their needs, self-expression, and goals, as well as assuring justice and equality in community and work life. Please reach out to Empowering People today at (330) 974-1266 to learn more about available Direct Support Professional positions in our Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) and Home and Community-Based Waiver Services (HCBS) Programs throughout Ohio.

Licensed Nurses (LNs)

Our nursing departments are staffed with compassionate nurses who care for our individuals on a holistic level. As part of our team, you can help develop our individuals on a physical, emotional, mental, and medical level. We provide not only nursing assessments and medication administration but also emotional support to help empower our individuals to engage in their wellbeing and medication regiment. If caring for those who cannot care for themselves is in your resume and personal mission statement, then consider becoming part of our qualified nursing team. Licensed Nurses are needed in our Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs).
